Abstract

This article discusses the role of strategic human resources management (SHRM) practices in creating sustained competitive advantage for organizations. It presents several conceptual models that illustrate the relationship between SHRM practices and competitive advantage. The models emphasize the importance of aligning HR strategies with the organization's overall business strategy, developing a high-performance work culture, and leveraging human capital to achieve long-term success. The article also highlights the critical role of leadership and HR professionals in implementing effective SHRM practices. Overall, this article provides insights into how organizations can use SHRM practices to gain a competitive edge and sustain it over time.
