Abstract

A Lokayukta is the state’s version of Lokpal, which applies to the union (Central) government. Investigates graft cases against politicians, public servants and functionaries. These two institutions will work towards the betterment of the common people by safeguarding their interests and politicians and bureaucrats cannot intervene in their working. The citizens will have the right to file complaints and also appeal if need be to the High Courts of the respective State or the Supreme Court.
