This paper talks about the FMG (FEMALE GENITAL MULTI LATION) how it is how it is performed by various sects in India. The reasons behind the performance of FMG in India. The problems faced by the the women in context with FMG. Various laws which cater FMG in India but not specifically mentioned for FMG. What are the international view on female genital Mutilation and how it can be curbed through by looking into the various acts made by the following countries
